Academic Year Courses:
Five alternate formats are available for some Syracuse University courses.
These courses, open to any part-time matriculated or non-matriculated student, may be used to fulfill program requirements at SU or elsewhere. Academic standards and expectations are the same as for regular semester courses. Students may combine formats in any way that suits their needs; for example, taking an online course along with an accelerated course, during the same semester.
Because many classes are contingent upon enrollment, we strongly encourage students to register as soon as possible. Unfilled classes may be canceled. Therefore, early registration enables us to confirm class offerings. Early registration may also allow you to participate in a more flexible payment option. Before matriculated students register for any of these courses, we strongly recommend that you consult with your academic advisor to ensure that courses are appropriate for your individual circumstances. Go to http://MySlice.syr.edu for the latest course updates.
Summer Courses
Courses are offered during 4 sessions:
MAYmester, Session I, Session II, Combined Session
The dates for these sessions may be found in the UC summer credit schedule or on the web at Summer@Syracuse.
During the summer, class listings for all summer sessions (updated weekly) are reachable from the Summer@Syracuse page. Class listings for summer online courses (updated weekly) are reachable from the Online Courses page.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Certain prerequisites, academic / drop deadlines, and other restrictions apply to flexible format courses. Refer to the UC fall/spring or summer course schedule for this information. Call 315-443-4135 to speak to a Student Services Coordinator for this information, or visit the Bursar and/or Registrar web pages for registration and drop deadlines, registration forms and procedures, and tuition & fees. Online dialogue with the instructor and discussion with your classmates

forums, “surfing” the web, and downloading files from a
web site.

flexible format classes that begin later within the standard term
may disburse on dates varying from those published for the standard
term. Therefore, refund processing may also be affected.
If you
need financial aid to pay for a class that
